Judge Spotlight: The 2018 Supply Chain Brief MVP Awards

Supply Chain Hot Tub is a satirical Twitter account run by a group of Supply Chain pros, who are also friends. Nevertheless, Aggregage reminds our readers that the Supply Chain Brief MVP Awards are a very serious affair. Please enjoy.

Name: Supply Chain Hot Tub

Check it out: Be sure to follow The Tub at @sc_hot_tub and be on the lookout for the Supply Chain Hot Tub 2019 Calendar – “Containers of the World” – which will be available for order soon.

What do you do, and what is your favorite part of your job?

Professional hand models in supply chain safety videos. However, our claim to fame was being the hand model for the “Don’t Walk” sign and being the inspiration behind the phrase “talk to the hand.” We do it for the perks, which usually includes safety gloves and designer hand lotions.

How did you get started in working with supply chains?

A material handling equipment manufacturer that rhymes with the word “Frown” approached us for the now-banned in 83 countries “MHE Demolition Derby” back in the late 90’s and it opened our eyes to the world of warehousing. Needless to say, we caught the supply chain bug.

What makes you a qualified judge of Supply Chain MVPs?

We have a pulse. Also, we’ve been making fun of supply chains and the people that manage them for over 20 years.

What’s a notable trend in supply chains that you’re seeing lately?

Pants. We see more and more people wearing pants, which is quite refreshing.

What fictional character do you most identify with?

Norman Bates – because we love our mothers.
